Influence Networks received funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to prototype a platform with the Power of Ideas on the Internet (POINT) project for the discovery of individuals who are shaping perspectives online. POINT computed “influence” using Influence Networks’ innovative InfluenceRanking™ algorithm to measure the relevance of generated content to a specific topic and the importance of people to the topic ranked by influence with visualized changes in influence over time.
